Static Electricity

Lesson Objectives:

Upon completion of this unit, you will be able to:

Discuss the nature of static electricity.
Explain the use of an electroscope to determine the polarity of unknown charges.
Discuss lightning protection.
List nuisance charges of static electricity.
List useful applications, employing electrostatic charges in their operation.

Student Activity:

Read carefully pages 50 through 65 of Delmar's Standard Textbook of Electricity making notes as you go.
When you have completed the unit, use your notes to answer the questions in the Lesson Three quiz.
Review your notes and the Lesson highlights as needed, until you are able to attain a perfect score on the quiz.
