Electrical Quantities
and Ohm's Law

Lesson Objectives:

Upon completion of this unit, you will be able to:

Define the terms coulomb, ampere, voltage, ohm and watt.
Explain the the effect that voltage and resistance have on current flow in an electrical circuit.
Calculate various electrical values using Ohm's law formulas.
Discuss different types of electrical circuits.
Select and apply the proper Ohm's law formula from a chart.

Student Activity:

Read carefully pages 20 through 44 of Delmar's Standard Textbook of Electricity making notes as you go.
When you have completed the unit, use your notes to answer the questions in the Lesson Two quiz.
Review your notes and the Lesson highlights as needed, until you are able to attain a perfect score on the quiz.
Once you have successfully completed the quiz, proceed with the Unit Two Student Exercise.
